Improving Access To Healthcare In Southern Belize

Who We Serve

Hillside Health Care strives to supplement and expand access to interdisciplinary services for the people of Southern Belize by partnering with students, residents, & volunteers through global, interdisciplinary, advanced practice experiential education.

HHC embodies Belizean empowerment, sustainability, education, cross-cultural immersion, and non-discrimination while endeavoring to ultimately become a wholly Belizean company that fosters healthy global attitudes, intercultural cooperation, equitable access to preventive & primary healthcare, community outreach, and financial autonomy.

Hillside provides approximately 10,000 clinical and outreach services to the people of Southern Belize each year. We also offer global health education for medical trainees, providing them the opportunity to learn while serving.

Students

Each year, students participate with Hillside through education programs like pharmacy, rehabilitation, medicine, and public health. Hillside offers multi-disciplinary clinical rotations with learning opportunities in a variety of settings for post-graduate students and residents interested in hands-on practice and learning about health care from a global perspective.

Volunteers

Volunteers are actively integrated into all aspects of the daily Hillside program, especially working with students in the clinic, with licensed medical professionals having the opportunity to volunteer for two weeks or more.
